Delhi

Arrive in Delhi & transfer to your hotel where you will spend the next two nights. Afternoon tour of Old Delhi, including the Red Fort, Jama Masjid mosque and Raj Ghat. This evening, join your guide on a walking tour of Old Delhi that takes you through bustling alleyways to discover hidden monuments.

Delhi

Enjoy a morning tour of New Delhi, including The India Gate and the vice-regal residence, both fine examples of British Imperial architecture. Continue to the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun's Tomb and the Qutub Minar tower before spending the afternoon at leisure.

Day 3

Delhi - Varanasi

Depart on a morning flight to Varanasi. Afternoon tour of Sarnath, the site of Buddha's first sermon. This evening, visit the Dasaswamedh Ghats to witness the fascinating Ganga Aarti ceremony.

The love for horses from warriors is a well known phonemena. But the Marawari Horse not only enjoys the love of its Rajput masters, but has one full day in a year dedicated in its name, when it receives all the attention. In return the Marwari breed of Horse is said to have an extraordinary instinct and the ability to act upon the mere thoughts of the rider. Besides this, it is fiercely loyal and is known for always being able to bring his rider home. Its courage and gallantry are the theme of many songs and tales. Most famous being the Chetak Horse of Maharana Pratap who has a monument built in its name near Udaipur.

Early morning boat ride on the Ganges. In the afternoon, fly to Khajuraho and transfer your hotel where you will spend the next two nights.

Day 6

Khajuraho - Orchha - Agra

Morning drive to the village of Orchha, the former capital of the Bundela dynasty. After lunch, continue to Jhansi and take the train to Agra. Transfer to the Trident Agra for two nights.

Agra

View the spectacular Taj Mahal at sunrise then after breakfast, visit the huge Agra Fort and the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah. Spend the afternoon at leisure or take an optional excursion to Akbar’s Tomb (payable locally).

Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur

Drive to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted 16th century red sandstone city built by Emperor Akbar as his capital and abandoned just 15 years later. Continue to Jaipur where you will spend the next two nights.

Jaipur - Jodhpur - Rohet

Full-day drive to Rohet via Jodhpur. Visit the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort and the imposing Jaswant Thada then continue to Rohet where you will spend the next two nights.
