What is GITM?
GITM is an event jointly organized by the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) and the State Department of Tourism, India Tourism, Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG) and Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI). GITM is aimed at promoting State Tourism further at International Horizon.
"The international travel and trade mart held last year was a phenomenal success. We are confident that an event like GITM organized on such a scale will boost trade and result in increased visitors to the state to experience our unique culture. We will showcase our strength to the global travel industry," quoted Mr. Satardekar, GTDC chairperson.
Goa’s tourism director Mr. Naik promised that it will be even a better show this year in compare to last year’s show. He also added that Goa being an international holiday destination is placed firmly on the global map and the mega events such as this one will boost up the state’s travel and tourism industry’s growth to the new heights.
Who are going to participate in the event?
As of now, many tourism biggies such as Indian Association of Tour Operators (AITO), Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI) have already confirmed their participation in the event. So if you are planning to visit Goa, take care and make sure you have a flying visit to this mega event called GITM!

If you are planning to visit GITM and want to go to Goa for attending this mega event, there are a number of ways you can choose from. You can go directly to Goa or you can land to somewhere else nearby it and can reach there by local transportation system also.
