Congratulations Mr. Bhim Neaupane - Multicultural Entrepreneur of the Year-Nepal

A Very Proud Moment For Buddha Travel & Tours as Bhim Neupane our Managing Director Wins The “Multicultural Entrepreneur of the Year – Nepal” at Serendib Awards 2016!

Here is a Snap Shot of Bhim's Contribution to Australian Economy and the Multicultural Community in Australia.

Monetary Contribution: Bhim’s generosity is visible through his contributions made for various Community Event Sponsorships, Charity and Fund Raiser Events and Sports Events that has amounted to more than AUD$360,000. He has supported “Seven Women” – not for profit organisation in Nepal, who is working on empowering marginalised women through literacy, skill training and income generation.

During the Nepal Earthquake in 2015 Bhim has rallied and raised funds to provide relief for those affected.He also supports (sponsors) various community based events like Nepal Festival (Mel, Syd, Brisbane & Perth), Nepal Movie Screening Events, Musical Events, fund raiser dinner events and has contributed towards building the Nepalese Community Centre of Victoria.

Bhim also generously contributes for kids, sports (YETI Football Club, United Football Club, Sagarmatha Cricket Club) & multicultural community events.

Australian Economy: Bhim through his Businesses has contributed a tax amounting to AUD 1Million and above. A truly hard-working and loyal businessman.

Employment & Training: Bhim in his businesses has employed more than 100 local and migrants and provided them with work opportunities. Bhim also provided Personal skill training to around 20 employees. In addition to employment Bhim has provided Basic Training, Skill Training, 457 Visa employment programmes and work placements. Bhim takes personal interest to make sure all this employees are happy and have a successful career.

Let us take a look at Bhim’s Journey in Australia so far: Bhim Neupane was born in Baglung district of Nepal. His love and passion for the Tourism and Hospitality industry lead him to Katmandu for more opportunities and better education. He started off by owning a Hotel and a Travel Agency in Nepal and running it successfully from 1995 to 1999. That was the year (1999) when he came in to Melbourne to study Business, Tourism and Hospitality at Swinburn University. He graduated in Business from the same University in the year 2004.

As Bhim was very passionate about food and cooking, he continued his entrepreneurial spirit and started a Nepalese restaurant named Kantipur in Caulfield and ran it successfully for almost 10 years (2005-2014).

This passion emerged when Bhim was working at restaurants as a student in Melbourne. Today, Bhim is the Owner and Executive Chef of Nirankar restaurant which is a very popular and sought after Indian and Nepalese restaurant at Melbourne CBD. Top websites like TipAdvisor, Yelp and Google reviews rate the restaurant very highly. Nirankar, now has 13 staff members from various diasporas employed.

With an ardent desire to further serve the Nepalese community and the wider community in Australian, he started Buddha Travel & Tours in the year 2008 which was the first Nepali owned Travel agency in Melbourne (Head Office). Within a span of 8 years, it has become a very popular Travel agency and has gained a lot of trust among its ever growing number of patrons. Due to the demand and rate of growth, he has now opened branches at Sydney, Adelaide and New Zealand as well. Bhim always mentions that this was possible only with the support received from the community. Buddha Travel & Tours today employees 15 staff members who work dedicatedly and Bhim’s motivation & support are their strengths.

Baato Muniko Phool (The Flower of wayside) -2, a very successful Nepalese mainstream movie was produced by Bhim. This movie was released in April 2016 in several countries and ran successfully. He being a multi-talented person, also acted in this movie and received wide acclaim for his acting skills and screen presence. The movie has also been nominated to be screened at the Indian Film Festival 2016 at Sydney this year. Bhim’s next movie is in the post production stage and will be released very soon.
