Day 1

Delhi

On arrival in Delhi we check in to our hotel and have time to freshen up. This afternoon we go on a city tour and see the main sights of New Delhi, which include the President's Palace, Lok Sabha (Parliament), The India Gate, The Rajpath and Lotus Temple.

Day 2

Delhi- Agra- Bah(Chambal)

(Driving Time: Approximately 2hrs by train to Agra and 2 hrs by road to Chambal)

Early-morning post breakfast, transfer to the railway station. Board the Shatabdi Express, one of the fastest trains of India, to Agra. Upon arrival visit the Taj Mahal (closed Fridays) and Agra Fort. Lunch at a local restaurant and later drive to The Chambal Sanctuary for two nights.

Day 3

Bah(Chambal)

This morning enjoy a jungle safari through remote hamlets hidden within the folds of the Chambal and Yamuna ravines. This afternoon you will experience a river safari on the gentle waters of the Chambal River, providing spectacular opportunities to view alligators, turtles and even dolphins. The Chambal Safari boatmen are exceptionally skilled at cutting the boat engines and manoeuvring as dose to the birds and animals as possible without disturbing them. Trained naturalists accompany visitors and provide expert information on the Chambal wildlife.

"Amazing Facts
India with its vast and varied geographical terrain is habitat for many animals. Some of which are not found in any other continent. The Lions, the Tigers, the Bison, the one horned Rhinoceros, the Asiatic Elephant and innumerous species of Deer & Monkeys are found in many forests and national parks. This itinerary takes to you to see such variety of animals. If luck prevails you may see all these beautiful animals and also the endangered Ghariyal in the river of Chambal.
(Please note: Nearly all the national parks of India are closed to visitors from 30 June to 30 September every year. Please check the dates before booking)

Day 4

Bah(Chambal) - Agra - Jhansi - Orchha - Khajuraho

After an early breakfast we leave for Agra to take the train to Jhansi and then drive to Khajuraho via Orchha. Stop at Orchha for a pure veg meal and also for sightseeing. Visit the The Orchha Fort Complex, which was built by Raja Bir Singh Ju Deo in the 17th century and boasts interiors of intricate murals. Later continue to Khajuraho and arrive in the early evening. Check in at the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5

Khajuraho - Bandhavgarh

(Driving Time: Approx 5 hours)

Morning post breakfast visit the beautifully and intricately carved temples of Khajuraho. Built between 950 and 1050 AD these temples depict highly sensual scenes, carved in stone; more so women carvings in her various daily activities from decking up to writing a letter and cooking to sleeping! These temples renowned the world over.
Post Lunch continue onto Bandhavgarh National Park, one of India’s finest national parks and home to the country's largest concentration of tigers. Upon arrival check in at the hotel and have dinner. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 6

Bandhavgarh

Search for wildlife in the company of a trained ranger with morning and afternoon game drives today. Along with tigers Bandhavgarh park is home to leopards, chital (spotted deer), sambar deer, nilgai, wild boar, chinkara, sloth bears, jungle cats, rhesus macaques, grey langurs, hyenas, porcupines, jackals, foxes and wild dogs. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Bandhavgarh - Kanha

(Driving Time: Approx 6 hours)

Post breakfast in the morning drive to Kanha National Park, arriving mid-afternoon. One of India’s largest nature reserves, Kanha boasts vast sal tree forests, flourishing green meadows and lush bamboo growth. This prime tiger-spotting wilderness also supports endangered hard-ground swamp deer (barasingha), sambar deer, chital deer, gaur (Indian bison), striped hyenas, leopards and 200 species of birds.
Upon arrival check in at the hotel and have Lunch. Half day at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
